Stretch Marks and Scar Reduction

Stretch marks, also called Striae are areas of skin that look like red/ purple bands, strips, or lines.

These are new stretch marks, if your stretch marks are grey or white, then these are older marks. As the name suggests, stretch marks are the result of the skin stretching, whether the stretch is excessive or minimal.
There are a number of causes, the most common are:

  • Pregnancy
  • Rapid changes in weight
  • Adolescent growth spurts
  • Increased level of the hormone cortisol
  • About Stretchmarks

Once a stretch mark changes colour from a pearly white to an almost blue/purple colour, creams and oils will not make a difference to these.

Similar with scarring, which occurs when tissues have been significantly damaged and repaired.

Poor wound healing can result in thick, unsightly scars, and keloid scarring.

  • Treating Stretchmarks

Our medical grade skin treatments breakdown and restructure old scar tissue, and stimulate the production of new collagen, resulting in smoother and firmer skin.

Surgical scars and stretch marks are reduced, and the texture of your skin becomes smoother and more elastic.

  • What is the Best Time To Treat Stretchmarks?

We use RF Sublative technology to effectively treat stretch marks and surgical scars.

The best time to treat stretch marks is when they are new (red) as they are much more responsive to treatment than older (white) stretch marks.

  • About SublativeTM

With SublativeTM the RF energy enters the skin with small microscopic holes but the energy is strongest in the dermis creating an inverted cone.

The delivery of this RF energy is what makes all the difference in remodelling damaged stretch mark and scar tissue.

The fractionated Radio Frequency energy breaks down the old scar tissue from the injury and encouraging the reproduction of the new collagen is a more organised manner.

SublativeTM targets the body’s natural wound healing process via cell destruction and reconstruction which triggers collagen and elastin production in very specific areas in the top dermal layer.

Your natural wound healing mechanism then repairs the scar, wrinkle or stretch mark from lower layer of your skin without damaging the top epidermal layer.

  • How Often Is Treatment?

Generally, we perform treatments at 2-4-week intervals, however due to each individual being different and nature of stretchmarks and scars, a consultation is recommended to determine the number and type of treatments required for each individual.
